"He kāwai whenua, he kāwai whakapapa" focuses on the central role of whenua (land) within mātauranga Māori and its ability to connect us to our stories, histories, identities, and whakapapa. The suite of nine photographic images was installed at Tauranga Art Gallery in October 2022 and then at the Whakatāne Museum Art Gallery in February 2023.
